Wrong language?
Fixed in a keystroke.

Small utility. Big relief.

It lives in your menu bar and stays out of the way until you need it.

One keystroke

No retyping, no copy-and-paste dance. Select, press the shortcut, done - the fix lands in place.

Any language you use

Hebrew, Russian, Arabic, Greek, French AZERTY and more. Relayout reads the layouts you've enabled - nothing is hardcoded - and switches your keyboard to match.

Fix Caps Lock too

Press ⌘ ⇪ to flip a selection's case. HELLO becomes hello - and Caps Lock is set to match, so you keep typing the way you meant to.

Any keyboard

Built-in, Magic Keyboard, or a third-party mechanical - it works the same. Keyboards without an Fn key get their own shortcut options.

Private by nature

Relayout runs entirely on your Mac. No servers, no internet, no accounts, no analytics - nothing to collect, because nothing ever leaves your computer.

Support

Everything you need to get going - and to reach a human if you're stuck.

How do I use it?
Select the text that came out wrong, then press the shortcut - by default ⌘ + Fn (hold Command, tap the Fn/Globe key) or ⌘ + ?. Relayout retypes the selection in your other keyboard layout, in place, and switches your input language to match. Press again to convert back.
Why does it need Accessibility permission?
To do its job, Relayout copies your current selection and pastes the fix back - the same simulated ⌘C/⌘V any text utility uses. macOS only allows that with Accessibility permission, which you grant once under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. Relayout reads nothing else and sends nothing anywhere.
It needs at least two keyboard layouts
Relayout converts between the layouts you've enabled. Add a second one under System Settings → Keyboard → Input Sources (for example English plus Hebrew or Russian), and you're set. Enable as many as you like - with three or more, each press cycles to the next.
Does it work with external keyboards?
Yes. The conversion works on your text, not your hardware, so any keyboard behaves the same - built-in, Magic Keyboard, or third-party. Some non-Apple keyboards don't report an Fn key to macOS, which is why Relayout also arms ⌘ + ? by default and offers both-Command, both-Shift, and fully custom shortcuts.
How do I change the shortcut?
Click the ⇄ menu bar icon → Shortcut and pick one, or choose Custom… to type your own (like ctrl+alt+k). The Caps Lock case toggle has its own Case Shortcut menu, where you can also turn it off.
The shortcut isn't doing anything
Open the ⇄ menu - if it shows “Grant Accessibility Access,” the permission is missing or went stale (this can happen after an update). Turn Relayout off and back on in the Accessibility list, and it re-arms within seconds. Still stuck? Get in touch below.
I have a bug or an idea
Please reach out - Relayout is actively developed and every message is read. A language pair that misbehaves, a shortcut you wish existed, or any suggestion at all is genuinely welcome. Email support@relayoutapp.com.

Nothing to collect.

Relayout runs entirely on your Mac. It has no servers and never connects to the internet - no accounts, no tracking, no analytics. Your text is converted locally and never leaves your computer. There is no data to gather, sell, or lose.
